In 2008, a group of pit bull lovers gathered each month hoping to convince the City Council of Rockwood TN to adopt a "Vicious Dog Law" instead of a Pit Bull Ban. It was during this time that it became apparent to us how desperate the plight of this breed was. We were flooed with calls and emails about Pit Bulls needing rescue! We were very excited when we realized that we were going to celebrate National Pit Bull Awareness Day in ROCKWOOD! Check out the pics. We had a great day.
